Ok babes we’re here talking about real life weddings that I have personally had the privilege to work! I mean, come on, just look at these 2 cuties! Kayla and Jeff planned a small, intimate wedding with their closest friends and family members at the Capen House in Winter Park, and we were here for it(literally)!

But let’s start from the beginning, shall we?! Kayla reached out to me in September of 2023 from our Zola listing, which means she booked her wedding 5.5 months before her wedding day! Kayla is smart, be like Kayla! 

Fun Fact: Wedding HMUAs generally get booked 6 months to one year in advance, or more! Dates with numerical likeness, for example: 2.23.2023, can be booked a year plus in advance!

Kayla scheduled her trial at the end of October in 2023. She brought her inspo photos and we chatted about them for a while before we began the actual makeup application and hairstyling. She chose a bronzey-glowey makeup look with a clean bun. Very chic. After the trial, we had very minimal tweaks and changes!

Fun Fact: Not all trials go exactly as planned! You may think you want something, try it, and realize it wasn’t the look for you. And that’s ok. Babes, we have done this before and we are NOT letting you walk down that aisle unless you feel 1000% confident and like your best self! We will work with you to make the look PERFECT, sometimes it just takes an extra appointment to get there!

On wedding day, I knew I would be doing hair and makeup on both Kayla and her step mom, plus hair for her bridesmaid. A total of 5 services. I arrived at the Courtyard Marriott in Downtown Orlando at 8:30am, parked and unloaded my hair and makeup kit into my wagon!

I arrived at the room at 8:40am, set up, and began hair and makeup at 9am. I allotted 40 minutes per hair service and 45 minutes for makeup. Then I left some time at the end to allow for tweaks and touch ups! Kayla and her crew were so easy to chat with. Time literally FLEW by. Honestly, a wedding morning filled with amazing people, good conversation, and a glam sesh that can make you feel all the feels, is what I live for!

Kayla had a small intimate wedding, with her closest friends and family present, which I love! They definitely danced the night away, and she still looked flawless! When I saw the photos, I was jealous I didn;t get to hang out with their crew longer! It looked like the best day ever! Check it out along with all the amazing vendors!
