Hi babes! This week we are chatting about a venue that myself and my team visit often, the Howey Mansion, located in Howey in the Hills, FL! The mansion is a historic gem and the vibe it brings is like no other venue in the area! The photo galleries from couples who get married here always seem to blow me away! The photos that were captured of Liz and Graham are no exception, just wait until you see…so let’s keep it moving, shall we?!
Liz reached out to me as a referral from Kindle and Grain, an amazing photo and video company that I get to work with often! Liz and Graham were getting married in December 2023, at the Howey Mansion, located in Howey in the Hills. They were planning their wedding from afar, as they currently live in New Jersey!
Fun Fact: Take your wedding vendor’s advice and referrals seriously! They are mentioning those they have worked with before and have a good rapport with. Plus everything flows effortlessly on wedding day when we all work together often!
Liz asked me to do her engagement shoot makeup in October of 2022. We met and I literally felt like we immediately became friends. We chatted the entire time I glammed her. She loved how natural yet beautiful the makeup was, and we barely tweaked a thing from there to wedding day! She visited again in July of 2023 and we performed her hair trial, which after flying home did NOT hold up well. I took a ton of notes and made adjustments based on what the feedback entailed, we added extensions, and wait til you see the GLAM WAVES we created for her on wedding day hunnay! They were luxurious indeed. And from what I heard, they STAYED in place ALL NIGHT LONG! Now that is what you wanna hear, especially in Florida where humidity is no one’s best friend!
On wedding day myself and the BB babes arrived to Mission Inn, a resort right down the road from Howey Mansion! We started glam bright and early at 6:45 in the morning because everyone needed to be done by 12:30pm to travel over to the venue! Jordana and I worked to complete all the makeup services, and Kassy and Ashley worked to complete all the hair services! All together we performed 22 beauty services in 5 hours time! Talk about a SPRINT! (That is 5-6 services per artist).
Fun Fact: Most venues do not allow early morning or all day access into the bridal suite, and it is necessary to get ready offsite at a hotel, home, or Airbnb. If you have a final ready by time of noon or earlier, plan on waking up bright and early for glam, especially if you have a bridal party!
After we completed all of their services, the bridal crew headed over to the venue, where they got dressed and the bride and groom had their first moments together. At their first look, Liz and Graham also exchanged personal vows, which is so sweet! I love the touch that personal vows can bring, even if you don’t say them out loud to any one but yourselves! Then they headed down the aisle, got married, and partied the night away! Check out their dollar gun….talk about making in rain!
It looks like they had the most amazing day and I am so HERE FOR IT!!!! Congrats again, Liz and Graham!
