Hello my beautiful babes! This week we are back in full swing, and busy as ever! However, we are taking a minute to share some valuable information, especially for right now during the cold winter months! This is the time of year, when our skin is not only exposed to the sun, but snow, wind, rain, and other conditions that will quite literally to suck the life(and moisture) out of your skin! Fear not, sis! I am sharing some skincare knowledge, plus some of my most favorite products! You can easily click the links to purchase any of the products below.
Toner: Niacinamide Brightening Toner: This toner is great for ALL skin types! It helps to brighten skin and reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. It also helps to reduce hyperpigmentation and reduce inflammation! Bonus points for being vegan and cruelty free.
Serum(s): The best serum to use for everyday hydrated skin, is hyaluronic acid. Our current favorite is Good molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum. This product contains two types of hyaluronic acid with different molecular weights, allowing it to penetrate multiple layers of the skin for deep hydration. Of course it is also vegan and cruelty free!
Moisturize AM: Fangirl favorite for most makeup artists, and great for normal to dry skin is Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate. This moisturizer provides moisturized skin, helps to regain suppleness and elasticity; Reduces skin sensitivity; and provides an immediate feeling of comfort and hydrated skin!
Moisturize PM: My personal go to is Milk & Honey Intense Hydration Cream. This intensely rich, luxurious moisturizer that boosts hydration, restores luminosity, and supports dry, tired skin. The main ingredient in this product in aloe, and for a super dry girly, that’s important! Simply press this cream into your skin before bed time and wake up with glowing hydrated skin!
SPF: Goop Unseen Sunscreen Yes, babe, you need sunscreen even in the winter, and even when it’s cloudy! Those harmful rays still shine through and can damage your skin! So be sure to use that SPF. We love this sunscreen because it is lightweight and sheer! No more white cast on your skin after application. It also helps to filter bluelight, and can double as a makeup primer! Win win win!
Exfoliate: Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub We suggest using an exfoliant at least 1-3 times a week depending on your skin type! If you have dry or very dry skin, once to twice a week would be great! Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells and even out your skin tone and texture. This particular product is perfect for all skin types!
Lips: Aquaphor: Exfoliate that face and those lips, then slather them in Aquaphor before bed or before your lipstick application babes! This will ensure your lips are hydrated, making them appear fuller. I use this on everyone when I begin their makeup applications, and allow it to sit on their lips while I work!
Let us know if you have any questions about the products above or if you want help with suggestions for your skincare routine! Having perfectly hydrated skin will ensure your makeup application is flawless! Let’s work together to get you those results, babe!
