Hello! I hope you are doing amazing, sweetie! This week we are chatting all things elopements! Let’s skip all the fluff, and get into it!

First, you may be wondering what the main difference between an elopement and a wedding is. An elopement wedding is typically thought of as running away without telling friends or family, but that definition has changed over time. Now, an elopement wedding means that you are tying the knot and celebrating with just yourselves or a small gathering in a minimal, more casual fashion.

When deciding to elope, many couples skip all the hoopla and extra wedding day details. Many times the vendor team is much smaller than that of a typical wedding day. Typically vendors that are usually booked with an elopement package are as follows: 

Officiant: Because you need someone to marry you and your partner

Photographer: Most couples want this special moment captured no matter how big or small the event is 

Hair and Makeup: If you’ve paid for photography, you’ll most likely want to look FAB! Did you know Beauty Brigade supplies elopement hair and makeup as well?! 

Bridal Gown: Many bride’s opt for a more casual or laid back gown or dress. Oftentimes I have client’s who aren’t wearing a bridal gown at all, but they chose something else that is fun and colorful! 

Florals: Generally elopements only opt for a bridal bouquet and a boutonniere for the groom 

Catering/Restaurants: Many couple’s simply attend a nice dinner at a local restaurant after the official vows and photos have been completed! This is a great option to keep in mind, especially if you have a very small group that wouldn’t be able to meet catering minimums. 

Elopements are becoming a very popular route to take, as everything is becoming more and more expensive! We love a good elopement, over here at BB, and totally agree that everyone’s wedding day choices should reflect the couple and how they want to celebrate their love!
