Hello, beautiful! I hope you are slaying summer and living your best life! This week I am sharing some insight on additional products I carry in my pro makeup kit. However, these products are NOT makeup, but they are just as important! Check ‘em out! 

Mini fan: This is such a great thing to have as a pro MUA! First, it can help you get your lash glue nice and tacky before lash applications, remember blowing on the lashes is unsanitary! Who wants your hot breath on their eyes?! Second, it comes in handy with a hot or sweaty client, helping to dry their skin before makeup application or touch ups are applied. 

Bluetooth Speaker: This has saved many bridal party mornings! 8 times out of 10 someone forgets the bluetooth speaker. How are we supposed to rock out to Taylor Swift and early 2000s music with no speaker?! Don’t worry babe, I got your back! Now let’s crank up the jams and get you all glammed for that wedding! 

Disposables: These include makeup wipes, Q tips, cotton rounds, sponges, mascara wands, and lip wands. These items are one of the most important things in my kit. They help to keep the makeup itself sanitary as well as keeping you, the client, free from bacteria or infections. Once a lip or mascara wand has been dipped into a product and applied onto the skin, it can no longer be dipped back into the makeup product and will be discarded. We go through a TON of these in a year and they constantly need restocked.

Mini Trash Can: There isn’t always an available trash can where we are working, so in order for our station to stay clean and free of debris, the mini trash can is so convenient. It easily clips onto my brush bag and collapses into a compact little circle when not in use. The mess that is made with used disposables, paper towels and opened lash packs can be ALOT, especially with a larger amount of clients. It is also super unsanitary to leave those used products piled near your clean work space. 

Extension cord/strip: The real MVP right here! I have been to so many venues, hotels, etc and finding electrical outlets is always a scavenger hunt! Add in a hair stylist who also needs to plug in 5 irons and there could be a fight! Haha Ok kidding on the fight, but I am sure it’s happened somewhere before! That is why I always bring a 5 plug extension cord strip. I can easily plug in my makeup light, and 4 other hair tools if needed! This piece of equipment is a life saver indeed.
