Hello beautiful!  This week is for my bridal babes and we’re chatting about makeup applications. If you are getting married anytime soon, keep these tips in mind. I know that natural makeup is SUCH a trend right now, and that is okay, but it isn’t going to give you that amped up bridal lewk and definitely isn’t going to translate in those professional photos! But if that’s your vibe then do you, Sis! However, if you want your wedding day makeup to accentuate your features, show up in photos, yet still look like you, and last 8-10 hours then soft glam makeup is the way to go babe! Let’s get into it!

First, let me fill you in on what soft glam makeup IS and ISN’T! It is a step down from full glam but also a step above natural. Your makeup won’t contain harsh contour lines that full glam requires, instead everything will be nicely blended and appear softer. With a soft glam look you’re going to get more of a smudged liner (as opposed to the super bold wing); some contour and highlight; and a medium to full coverage face! Typically, this is going to be more makeup than you are used to wearing on a daily basis, but it’s going to look fab in person, and in your photos, plus it’s going to last all night! 

Soft glam is NOT  a full smoked out eye with winged liner then natural to no makeup on the face. I do get requests for looks like this WAY too often, and I am here to let you know that your eyes will be poppin in those photos, but then your face is going to fall flat and appear like you are wearing absolutely nothing! To be fully honest, it’s going to look weird. So please babes, consider this when creating your perfect wedding day look. Now if you “literally don’t care” about if your makeup shows up in photos then by all means babe, let’s keep it natural and I am here for it!
