Hello my beautiful babes! I know, I was MIA in September, but I’m back with the blog and some wedding trends you don’t want to miss! Summer is over, and we’re into my absolute favorite wedding season, it’s fall ya’ll!! (Sorry I couldn’t resist). This week I am sharing the hair and makeup trends I have been seeing most for my beautiful fall brides. 

Let’s start with the hairstyles I have been asked to create lately! The number one trend I am seeing is a glam waves reboot. I call it the reboot, because brides aren’t asking for the Hollywood glam waves like years before, with a deep side part and one side slicked back. Instead they’re opting for a slicked middle part with much of the hair tucked behind their ears and varying waves in the back. Some brides love the classic tight glam waves and some want a larger, more loose wave. 

The next trend I am seeing is a sleek low bun with minimal texture. Again bride’s are also asking for a middle part with this style as well! 

To my ladies with naturally curly hair, keep the curl going babe! Gone are the days of blowing the hair straight, then styling it. Many of my bridal babes are opting to showcase their beautiful curls, as they should!! 

Undone updos are making a hit! These are not the hairstyles we did years ago with high volume and tightly arranged curls. No ma’am, we want to see loose, messy updos that look like “you woke up like this.” 

Finally, braids. I am a sucker for braids and I think they are always in style! However, I am seeing them incorporated a little differently these days! Instead of big boho chunky braids, bride’s are opting for smaller sleeker braids as an additional small detail, as opposed to making it the focus piece of the hairstyle. 

 

Now let’s talk about makeup! I am seeing many brides opt for a more natural look all over but a pop on the eyes! One thing about 2020, it really had us all focused on skin care, so many brides are wanting to showcase their natural, beautiful glowing skin, instead of covering it all up with layers of cake up, makeup! Now that is a trend I am down for!! 

Another trend we, as artists, are seeing is a winged shadow or winged liner with a clean shadow look. Less glitter and glam, more sultry and sexy! Brides are pairing this daring eye look with a clean, more natural face makeup application. 

In addition to minimal makeup, is glowing skin! Many of our brides want to radiate with a natural skin glow, and we want to give them that look! Check out this glow, that artist, Jess was able to create for our stunning bride. 

Bridal babes are requesting a nude lip with brown liner to pair perfectly with their sultry eyes! We love love love it! 

Full brows are here to stay! Especially those brushed up boyfriend brows. Many of our bridal clients are having us fill in their thinner brows, and then brush up the hairs, in order to create a fuller, bushier brow.
