Hey, hey my bridal babes! This week’s blog post is specifically for you! This week we’re chatting about bridal trials, which is the practice run for hair and makeup before the big day! Did you know that Beauty Brigade offers 2 different types of trials, one is an in person trial and the other is a virtual consultation. Keep reading to learn the difference and to see which one is right for you! 

An in person bridal trial is the most recommended type of bridal trial! This is done in person, with your wedding day artist. Your artist will begin the trial by asking you a series of questions, in order to learn about the type of look you are wanting on your wedding day. Reference photos are helpful here, so that you can show your artist what you do and do not like. After your mini consultation, your artist will execute the desired look and then ask if there are any adjustments you would like to make. This type of trial is great for local brides, clients who want to test out multiple artists, or clients who want to test out multiple styles! 

The other option for bridal trials would be a virtual consultation. This is an option for bride’s who either prefer not to have a full bridal trial or can’t have a trial, due to location/travel issues; or timing issues. This consultation will be booked with your wedding day artist, and will last approximately 15-30 minutes of time. You will send your artist, inspiration photos before the call. Then, you will discuss your preferred wedding day look and your artist will make suggestions based on your tones, coloring and features! The preferred method of communication is FaceTime or Zoom, so that your artist can see you in real time and make professional suggestions. Now I bet you’re thinking, if they aren’t actually performing the hair and makeup on me how can this work?! Well babes, we ask you very specific questions and take notes on them throughout the call. These notes will guide us to create your perfect wedding day look! On the wedding day, we will move a little slower(which we will allow time for), and show you your look at certain points to make sure we are on the correct path. This will also give you the ability to tweak little details!
