Raise your hand if you want to have flawless skin for your wedding day! (or even just in general). Ok great, I am glad we’re all on the same page here. 😉 I have had many bride’s come to me for their trial with less than perfect skin, and that’s ok because hey, we are not PERFECT! However, many of these same ladies want their makeup to appear flawless. Let me be honest, makeup can cover A LOT of things, but it can’t cover some things like that dry, flaky skin- in fact it will enhance it- and no one wants to walk around with flaky makeup on their face! While I always prep every client’s skin before their makeup application, I can’t undo days, weeks, or months of untreated skin in a matter of minutes. I’m no magician! So, basically what I am saying is that your routine needs to begin MONTHS before you walk down that aisle, girlfriend.
Now I am no skin expert. There are different types of skin, skin conditions and other factors that play apart in your personalized treatment plan and your desired outcome. Sure, I’ve made suggestions in the past for my client’s, but honestly I only know what works for me, and skincare is not a “one size fits all” kind of thing. But don’t worry I’m bringing in a pro to help you learn about skincare and the process of skincare leading up to your special day!
So, without further adieu, Ladies and gentlemen, meet Cassie Robinson, PA-C.
Cassie is originally from North Carolina where she graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University and master’s degree from Campbell University where she became a Physician Assistant in 2018. She has always been interested in Dermatologist and her decision to fulfill a career in dermatology was solidified during her dermatology rotation in PA school. She enjoys the wide variety dermatology offers from general skin exams, acne evaluations, skin cancer surgeries and cosmetic appointments including injectables and laser treatments. It’s a very hands-on and detail oriented field, which is what drew her to the field. During her free time she enjoys roller skating, in-door rock climbing and exploring new restaurants.
If you have questions for Cassie, you can make an appointment with her at Mid Florida Dermatology & Plastic Surgery and she can assist with all your skin care needs!
Avoid products you are not used to. Do not add anything drastic to your regimen including harsh chemicals, lasers or even botox (if it’s your first time). Stick with your REGULAR routine. I would not even suggest facials or extractions.
Since this can be a stressful time and stress= breakouts, I would recommend in-office(administered by a dermatological professional) steroid injections, which may be helpful for larger cystic lesions vs. low-dose antibiotics. These injections help to keep inflammation down and keeps you glowing on your wedding day!
