Your Wedding Beauty Timeline: What to Book & When

Here’s a month-by-month breakdown of when to schedule the beauty services that’ll help you look and feel your best on the big day. 

Injectables (Botox, Dysport, Filler)

Injectables are one of the first things you should think about when planning your wedding day beauty regime. Your results need time to settle and you’ll want to avoid any last-minute bruising or swelling. If it’s your first time, we recommend a trial run 4–6 months out, and then doing your  final injectables 4-6 weeks before your wedding day. 

Haircut, Color, & Extensions

Not only do you want to make sure that you love your cut + color on your big day, you also want to make sure that your hair color has a chance to settle in, and make sure extensions are secure and blended before your trial and wedding day. This timing also ensures your bridal style holds beautifully. Here is what we recommend:

• Cut/trim: 2–3 weeks before
• Color touch-up: 2-3 weeks before
• Extensions maintenance or install: 2–4 weeks before

Facials & Skincare Treatments

You should avoid trying new treatments too close to the big day. If you’re doing peels or anything more intense, schedule those at least 4–6 weeks out. For your routine facials or treatments we recommend booking those 7-10 days before your wedding. 

Lashes, Waxing, & Brows

It is so important to allow time for redness to subside while keeping everything fresh and flawless. Here are our suggestions on when to book:

• Lash extensions or lifts: 4-5 days before
• Brow shaping or waxing: 4-5 days before
• Facial waxing (lip, chin, etc.): 4-5 days before

Nails

Whether you’re doing gel, dip, or classic polish, schedule your manicure and pedicure no more than two days before the wedding to avoid chips or scuffs.

Spray Tan

ALWAYS do a trial spray tan at least a month in advance to test for tone and fading. A great time to test this is also 2 days before your trial! Then, for the real deal, schedule it two days out to give it time to settle and avoid staining your dress. Do this after nails! 

Bridal Hair and Makeup Trial: When to Book

We recommend that you schedule your first hair and makeup trial 3-5 months before your wedding day. This gives us time to adjust your look if needed, and ensures your artist knows exactly what you love (and what you don’t!). If you can, try to time your trial with your bridal shower, engagement session, or dress fitting to make the most of the look!
